ColoGuard and GalaxyVisions Announced that their Data Center will undergo Audits this Year for Certification

ColoGuard is a privately held managed colocation facility based in the heart of Brooklyn, NY and it is the leading colocation provider and Galaxy Visions, an internet host has announced last week that their shared datacenter will undergo audits this year to certify that the facility is compliant with standards established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). Both the companies, ColoGuard and GalaxyVisions will get an objective assessment of the design and operating effectiveness of controls that deal with operations and compliance and also the controls that are relevant to their customer’s financial reporting.

IS Partners LLC of Horsham, PA, an independent auditing firm has been assigned to perform the reviews and their professional staff has collectively finished more than eight hundred SAS 70, SSAE 16 and SOC audits, internal control readiness assessments, trust service audits, HIPAA assessments and information technology audits. “ColoGuard and GalaxyVisions have always been committed to the security, availability and confidentiality of our customers’ data, applications and infrastructure,” said Ray Sidler, president and co-founder of ColoGuard and GalaxyVisions. “The successful completion of these audits will confirm what we already know, and give our customers extra assurance when they do business with us.”

The duration of the audit will be taken at least six months and will inspect the internal operations of the 15,000 square-foot data center. The examiners of the audit firm will scrutinize the processes, internal controls, and the security of data that is stored and managed at the facility. “This is truly a 365-degree assessment of everything GalaxyVisions and ColoGuard offer,” said Sidler. “We look forward to the scrutiny and the opportunity to improve our existing high level of service. These audits will provide an additional layer of confidence for our existing customers, and will provide a written assertion from auditors regarding the design and operating effectiveness of the controls being reviewed.”
